DRPA Board of Commissioners Appoints Inspector General and General Counsel

Newest senior leadership appointments reinforce focus on accountability and transparency

CAMDEN, N.J. (July 15, 2015): The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) Board of Commissioners today appointed two new members to the organization’s leadership team.David Gentile of Laurel Springs, New Jersey was named Inspector General and Raymond J. Santarelli of Springfield, Pennsylvania was named to the position of General Counsel. The two positions are key elements of the DRPA’s leadership structure and reinforce the organization’s commitment to strong, responsible and transparent stewardship.

“David Gentile and Raymond J. Santarelli are top level professionals with unparalleled experience and expertise in their areas of focus,” said DRPA Chairman Ryan N. Boyer. “The DRPA is fortunate to have them on the leadership team and we look forward to working with them in advancing the organization’s mission of stewardship, service and community.”

David Gentile has more than 40 years of experience in such varied areas as education, labor operations, administration and organizational compliance.  He spent nearly 23 years as a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and has served as Director of Labor Operations for Elliot-Lewis Corporation at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Vice President of Administration at Gomes-Cordish Gaming Group in Atlantic City, N.J., and Chief Compliance Officer for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.  As President/CEO of Protocol Security Partners, Mr. Gentile has served as a valuable security resource for a wide range of clients from the corporate, public and non-profit sectors.

Raymond J. Santarelli brings more than 20 years of legal expertise to the position of General Counsel. He has spent much of his career in private legal practice with the firm of Elliott Greenleaf & Siedzikowski, P.C. representing and counseling clients on complex issues in state and federal court. He has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s “SuperLawyers” based on a statewide poll of 48,000 judges and lawyers in Pennsylvania. Early in his career, he served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable James Gardner Collins, President Judge of the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court.
